THE FRUIT HUNTERS

You can find them deep in the jungles of Borneo, in the hills of Umbria, and perhaps even in your own backyard. They are fruit hunters, the subjects of this new documentary from acclaimed director Yung Chang (UP THE YANGTZE). A cinematic odyssey through nature and commerce, THE FRUIT HUNTERS will change not only the way we look at what we eat, but how we view our relationship to the natural world.

luscious. made me hungry. Needed editing to reduce the repetitive parts. Our guest was great, but he's the nut to go with the fruit. I admire his passion and its nice to know there is a place in San Diego to get these plants.

Kind of movie we joined the cinema society to see. It will never be in broad theatrical release so this was the place to see.

Guest speaker was a "unique" and brought very interesting fruit.

Very nice evening.

This movie was a trip to a whole new world for me, the best kind of doc.

Whoever recommended a bowl of fruit within reach was right! I spent the drive home wishing I had as much as a lowly apple to sink my teeth into!

I think some of the fruit hunters were pretty wacky, but I appreciated their passion and for opening my eyes a bit to the world of exotic fruit. the photography was beautiful. Our guest was a treat, and I look forward to visiting Exotica.

The movie was luscious. Our guest was a champion of the cause of biodiversity, and a poet - a man for our times. Hope I can find one of those ice cream bean trees!
