HEAVEN'S FLOOR

Desperate for more meaning in her life, elite photographer Julia (Clea Duvall) sets off on a journey to the Canadian Arctic. The spontaneous trip suddenly morphs into a life-threatening disaster when she finds herself alone, ill-equipped, and stranded on sea ice. Enter Malaya, an eleven-year old orphaned Inuit girl who rescues Julia and opens the door to the mysterious world of her small community hard by the Arctic Circle. Julia is captivated, until she discovers the dark underbelly of Malaya's home life. Later, tragedy strikes, and Julia finds herself in the Arctic once again, this time to adopt Malaya and bring her home to the crowded bustling noisy United States. When Malaya asks to return, Julia is forced to make a decision that leaves us wondering, who really saves whom?

Running Time: 87 Minutes. Not Rated.
