JOURNEY TO THE SOUTH PACIFIC

Set sail on a breathtaking IMAX® adventure to the lush tropical islands of remote West Papua, where life flourishes above and below the sea. Join Jawi, a young island boy, as he leads a journey of discovery to this magical place. Home to more than 2,000 species of sea life, this exotic locale features the most diverse marine ecosystem on Earth, including enormous whale sharks, sea turtles and manta rays. An uplifting story of hope and celebration, Journey to the South Pacific highlights the importance of living in balance with the ocean planet we all call home. Narrated by Academy Award® winner Cate Blanchett.

JOURNEY TO THE SOUTH PACIFIC opens at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center on February 14th.

PLEASE NOTE: This event takes place at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE: This program is one hour long, and includes a formal introduction, screening and brief question-and-answer session. Our show times are 7:00PM and 8:15PM—if your season pass is numbered 001 thru 400, please consider attending the 7:00PM show; if your season pass numbers 401 or greater, please consider attending the 8:15PM show. Whatever time you choose, note that the doors will open for check in 30 minutes prior to each show, and that auditorium doors will open five to ten minutes prior to the program start time (although the store and café will be closed, the exhibit galleries will be open for our enjoyment).

AND NOTE THIS: Our entrance to the Space Theater will be through the Business entrance—located directly adjacent to the theater's parking lot and behind the building.
