THE WRECKING CREW
“They were the stone cold rock and roll professionals and there may never, ever be a group of rock and roll musicians of that caliber again...”
—Jimmy Webb, Composer
THE WRECKING CREW is a documentary film that tells the story of the unsung musicians that provided the backbeat, the bottom and the swinging melody that drove many of the number one hits of the 1960s.
It didn’t matter if it was Frank Sinatra, The Monkees, The Byrds or The Beach Boys—these dedicated musicians brought the flair and musicianship that made The West Coast sound and American music the dominant cultural force not only here, but around the world.
A fun, touching and moving tribute to the music, the times and to those secret power hitters of the West Coast recording scene, THE WRECKING CREW is directed by Denny Tedesco as a loving memoir to his father Tommy Tedesco—one of the key guitarists of the Wrecking Crew.

Oh how I wish this film would get picked up for distribution. It does need to be polished a little bit and it would be perfect. My parents on those of their generation would eat this film up for the sound ques alone. One can't help to want to sing along let alone dance alone. Denny shared with us a wonderful story, making me wish that I could have known his father.

A well mastered film and deserves to be on the Big Screen for all to have an opportunity to see. Very informative film about some very talented musicians who ought to have been given credit for their work. I am so glad that I now know of their great sound and musicianship. This is what a well done documentary film is about about..informative yet entertaining to watch. Well Done.

Great fun! Another of my favorites of the season and one that many of my friends simply must see. It was a lovely trip down memory lane for me, reminding me of music that filled my home when I was a kid and beyond.

Great story, and a lovely valetine to his dad. However, it could have been told better. It was a bit disjointed and hard to follow at times. I can understand some of the film quality from the 60's being sub par but some of the newer footage was not so great - (long shot of someone's back for example) that could have been edited out.
But Oh, the music! That was fabulous.

Fun, interesting, and moving documentary...Herb Alpert, Dick Clark, Jimmy Webb, Glen Campbell, even Cher were credible witnesses...many memorable moments, including: Carol Kaye's intro to "The Wichita Lineman", Bill Pittman's bass sound in "The Age of Aquarius", the Plas Johnson interview, "The Eve of Destruction" playing over Webb's thoughts, and the slumped Tommy leaving the studio for the last time...thought "Wall of Sound" a better title.
