Sandra Bullock (THE PROPOSAL), Tim McGraw (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) and Oscar® winner Kathy Bates (MISERY) star in THE BLIND SIDE, which depicts the remarkable true story of All-American football star Michael Oher.

Teenager Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) is surviving on his own, virtually homeless, when he is spotted on the street by Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock). Learning that the young man is one of her daughter’s classmates, Leigh Anne insists that Michael—wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the dead of winter—come out of the cold. Without a moment’s hesitation, she invites him to stay at the Tuohy home for the night. What starts out as a gesture of kindness turns into something more as Michael becomes part of the Tuohy family despite the differences in their backgrounds.

THE BLIND SIDE, directed by John Lee Hancock (THE ROOKIE), is a Warner Bros. release. It opens commercially in San Diego on November 20th.

Rated PG-13 for one scene involving brief violence, drug and sexual references.

I loved this movie! I was even more choked up the second time I saw it!

What a great "feel good" and inspiring film that I would gladly see again and encourage all members of the family to go see. Sandra Bullock just knocked my socks off, I thought she was believable and in her element (ok, age appropriate role). I thought she and Tim McGraw had great chemistry. Quinton Aaron as Michael Oher just touched my heart every time he spoke. It's sad to think that we as a society have become so cynical (though maybe rightly so in a lot of cases) that we can't let ourselves believe that someone would be so generous to just want to help someone in need, even to the level that the Tuohy's did.

No swearing, no violence to speak of, no smoking, no sex.

All they need is a good story and the pros will do it well.

The real people with the actors at the end was a nice touch.

Well done.

Despite its overstated Hollywood treatment (mostly in the service of humor), the movie is generally true to the book and is thoroughly engaging. Sandra Bullock, though no Meryl Streep, is at her very best in this role. Quentin Aaron is more than credible as Michael Oher, and most of the supporting cast does a nice job as well. The only exceptions, in my view, were Jae Head, who seemed miscast as S.J. Tuohy and who overplayed the role, and Ray McKinnon, who seemed just goofy as Coach Cotton.

What a feel fabulous football family movie. Seeing the credits at the end was a touch of genious as it brought the story to reality again. What good casting, though I think the real Michael exudes a bit more personality than his character portrayed. And what cool clothes for Sandra Bullock! Loved the look, feel and the acting. The little kid was a breathe of fresh air. He was terrific too.

Just when I was beginning to think that the indie was the way to go, I was blind-sided by this slick Warner Brothers production. Everything about it was first rate, especially the writing. Director/Screenwriter John Lee Hancock created scenes as disparate as lily-white $18 salad luncheons and housing project hopelessness with equal credibility.

Loved this movie. Sandra B gave an amazing performance (for her) ... really terrific. Great script and believable characters. The parade of coaches was clever. The fact that this was a true story was even more compelling... funny and touching..
