OSSO BUCCO

Trapped in his favorite restaurant during the worst snow storm in Chicago history, Jelly Dinotto, a lovable, misfit mobster, has one night to escape the family business and win the heart of Megan, the woman of his dreams. The problem? Jelly and his trigger happy cousin, Nick, discover that two underachieving detectives are also trapped in the restaurant with a warrant for their arrest. Soon, sparks begin to fly, guns light up, and the power in the restaurant goes out. Sanity is restored as Megan mysteriously finds herself in charge with the only loaded weapon remaining. As the snow continues to fall, Jelly must ultimately choose between the life he knows and the woman he loves in this engaging dark, romantic mobster comedy.

STARRING Illeana Douglas, Mike Nussbaum and Mike Starr, OSSO BUCCO is witten and directed by Gary Taylor.

Talk about a one joke movie. Glad I was not invested in this one.

This film definitely left me with a "taste" (boy did I want to eat some Osso Bucco after the viewing)....I really like Illeana Douglas and though I did spend some time trying to think of the movies I had see Mike Starr in, I liked seeing both the familiar faces. Considering the budget and time frame for this movie it certainly had that independent feel. There is great potential in the writer/director (cameo actor). I'd recommend it as a "catch if it's on cable" movie.

What do you get when you mix mobsters, violence, vulgarity, farce, blood, and two guys fighting over a waitress? Answer: a romantic comedy for men. Thanks, Andy. This makes up for Rodanthe.
