FIVE DAYS IN SEPTEMBER: THE REBIRTH OF AN ORCHESTRA

From Variety: Who would think that some of the most charismatic characters around would be found in a documentary on the Toronto Symphony Orchestra? But watching handsome, witty musical director Peter Oundjian — who was star fiddler in the Tokyo String Quartet until sidelined by injury — shape up the band at the start of

a new season is a memorable treat. With special appearances by Yo-Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax and Renee Fleming, this behind the scenes look at the rebirth of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra is an absolutely first-rate classical-music docudrama.

What a wonderful film....and having Peter there to speak was icing on the cake. The documentary was put together beautifully so that the audience really felt the "angst" and shared in the joy. It was a treat. Thank you, Andy. I learned a lot about what makes a symphony orchestra great.
