It would have been good to hear more about "cures" or "causes" but then that would've been another film. This one was just attempting to put real faces and personalities in front of people like me, who haven't had any personal experiences with kids affected by autism. The kids were inspiring as was the drive of some of these parents (trying to get the best quality of life for their children). Hopefully this film can at least help raise awareness.

I have a grandchild with Autism. I thought the film was well done, but was disappointed that it dealt soley with "behavior modification" rather than with "biomedical intervention" as well. Underlying causes need examination or behavor modification cannot "cure" anything. Doctors who deal with this are calle DAN! doctors (Defeat Autism Now!). Check on-line for locations and specifics. They are wonderful!

Loved the movie! It was an amazing documentary that showed the challenges of being a child with autism and of raising one AND the unique talents and special hearts of these kids as they worked together with the dedicated director to put on a theatre performance.

The movie title/theme might sound like it's a downer movie but it was funny, engaging and the way the movie weaved the personal stories of the 5-6 stars and their families with the rehearsals and final performance was brilliant.

As 1 in 150 births these days is a child with autism, it's important for us all to understand this disorder and this movie is one of the best ways to learn about autism and have a wonderful, uplifting and hopeful time doing it. I fell in love with every one of these beautiful kids. Thank you Andy for a great evening and for bringing down one of the stars, Adam, to entertain us with his cello!
