BEYOND THE CALL
In an Indiana Jones meets Mother Teresa adventure, three eccentric middle-aged men, former soldiers and modern-day knights travel the world delivering life saving humanitarian aid directly into the hands of civilians and doctors in some of the most dangerous, yet beautiful places on Earth, the front lines of war.
BEYOND THE CALL, winner of 30 national and international film festival awards, is directed by Adrian Belic, who co-directed the Academy Award® nominated documentary GENGHIS BLUES.

Who would have thought that there were still people in this world that would do “something for nothing”? What a gift these men have been given to have the opportunity and means in which to help others in such a significant way. They sort of (or should) make your average citizen feel guilty for not doing their part. In this case though I’d almost be worried if too many people got involved in their direct mission for fear that some one would try to make it “profitable” and miss the mark on the main purpose for this duty.
As for the film making it self I thought it had a rather unpolished look and if I knew that this was someone’s first attempt at filmmaking I think I’d be understanding, however I was fortunate enough to see Genghis Blues (through the C.S. of course) and I thought that was a much better made film.

Thank you Andy, for bringing this film to us. Beyond the Call was a great choice. You expose us to films that we would never have seen otherwise. We are first year members of the Cinema Society and are very glad that we joined. The three men in the film are really making a difference in the lives of so many needy people. However, their wives'position is easy to understand. We applaud their humanitarian efforts around the world and wish them safe travels.

Andrew;
To say the least, "Beyond the Call" was absolutely marvelous!!. There was much that perhaps was not necessary to view, but on the other hand, who cares!
Such Dedication. Talk about GUTS!. Those 3 guys and the director/producer deserved all the stand-up applauds we could give them.
You did yourself and the Cinema Society Members, total justice. Bet, people got out of themselves and into how it would be to live like the people that the 3 were helping.!!
There is not enuff to say about the great message this movie said to all of us.
A big thank you for this one!
And..for bringing the people involved for us to hear and ask questions./
Terrific !!! Thank you!,

Way to change the world, one person at a time and with no strings attached. Let someone else work on solving the bigger issue or longer term solutions, putting clothes directly on someones back or giving direct medical attention means instant impact. It's hard to believe that these guys aren't killed for the materials that they are transporting (not to mention the cash) through the kinds of places that they go. Also amazing is the fact that the film maker is along for this very bumpy ride, just to make sure that some of the rest of us find out about people like Ed Artis, Jim Laws and Walt Ratterman (truly, they are Knights).
