I can't help but wonder if the word "PERFECT" hadn't been planted into my mind just before the film that I would have found the film as such...??? There really does not seem to be any flaws in this film, at least in terms of film making (as for historical accuracy, I am in no way qualified to judge). It reminded me of the film "The Queen", in that both films depicted a slice in history, an occurrence that history has recorded but with access to the behind the scenes of what was really going on. Both were succinct and stuck to the subject without involving too many outside influences or characters. I think this will do well come award season (as shown by the attention it received from the Golden Globes) and this film I can, with a clear conscience, recommend to everyone.

Overall, great, will see it again.

I heard a critique and it was mentioned that Lionel being from Australia did not speak with an Aussie accent...and I have to concur, I doubt that the current accent that you hear when Down Under developed only in the last 70 years...

Some may call this a perfect movie. Not sure what perfection is, but The King's Speech was pretty damn close. I was afraid with all the hype it would not meet expectations, but clearly it did. There were no hidden messages, no subplot, just a simply told story of a man who suffered humiliation and rose to overcome his malady. What terrific acting. The relationship between "Bertie" and "Lionel" grew into trust and friendship and probably made King George VI a better man for understanding who his "subjects" were and who he was as a person. A wonderful movie experience. A big royal wave from the balcony to you Andy for bringing it to us.

Fantastic! If this doesn't win a slew of Oscars and other awards, I'll be surprised. What a captivating story, well told. My highest compliment is that I can't wait to see it again in the theater before it is out on DVD.

How lonely it must be to be a member of the royal family! They have such a sense that they're above everyone else, they have little opportunity to connect well on an interpersonal level with common folk. I was struck with the same feeling while watching the movie Mrs. Brown.

Thank you Andy. This film is as good as it gets. Who knew Colin Firth was this talented. The Queen Mum would be very happy with this brilliant portrayal of her son's triumph.

How wondrful to step into a slice of life we can only dream about. Costumes and sets were well executed. The acting from top to bottom held together very well. Colin Firth and Jeffrey Rush were like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers going toe to toe and step together in the rhythm of this film. So well cast and acted it was like a well choreographed ballet. At times it was hard to tell who was the star and who was supporting actor. Tears were shed and feelings were heart felt. This was one of the best of the year. Andy should be revered for his ability to bring us the best of the best. Tell your friends and family to run, not walk, to see this movie. They will love you for it.

Superbly acted, exquisitely scored and filmed. I left the theater wanting more and returned home to register for notification of the DVD release. Many thanks, Andy.

One of the absolute best films I have EVER seen, bar none. Should win "Best" in ALL categories nominated for Oscars. Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush were outstanding. Andy, let's see you top this one!

Happy Holidays to all.
